Atlus Teases New Games to Be Revealed in 2023 – GameRant

A celebratory New Year’s message from publisher Atlus teases that more games that have yet to be announced will be revealed in 2023.
A new message from Japanese game publisher Atlus not only celebrates the new year but also teases some games that will be announced throughout 2023. The publisher is best known for its series of long-running JRPGs, with Shin Megami Tensei and Persona being the most recognizable of the bunch. Both of these have had incredible milestones in 2022, with the Persona franchise hitting a brand-new sales milestone, along with Shin Megami Tensei celebrating its 30th anniversary. This included special events for its mobile games along with a special re-release of an old card game based on the series.
With the new year here, developers and publishers have been celebrating with fans about what is coming out next. This includes teases for the future to special themed greetings messages on social media. Atlus is no different, as it made a special New Year's card that celebrates the year of the rabbit. This was not only posted on its Twitter but also on Famitsu, with a message that promises more to come in 2023.

This special card has a new illustration of the company's mascot Jack Frost and Morgana from Persona 5 in traditional kimonos, along with the demon known as Hare of Inaba since it is the year of the rabbit. The publisher states that 2023 will start with the releases of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden's remasters, as they will be both launching on new platforms on January 19. The publisher also notes that it is preparing several "unreleased new titles" and asks for fans to look forward to them throughout the new year.
The message from Atlus posted to Famitsu also thanked fans for their continued support, noting the releases of games like the remaster of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, the Nintendo Switch versions of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Soul Hackers 2, and Persona 5 Royal. The publisher also notes how Persona 5 Royal's remaster had sold a million units within its first month, and it has now sold over 3.3 million units worldwide to boot.
As for what Atlus has in store, developer Shinjiro Takada suggested fans could see more content revolving around Shin Megami Tensei's 31st anniversary, noting that the last mainline release, Shin Megami Tensei 5, had sold over 1 million units worldwide. The publisher made a similar statement back in 2019, where it then revealed four new games like the aforementioned Persona 5 Royal. Fans will just need to wait and see what Atlus has in store, whether it be more Persona, Project Re: Fantasy, or a brand-new undisclosed Shin Megami Tensei game.
