Our No. 1 team, Roselle Catholic, lost its first two games against well-oiled national powerhouses at a tournament in the Bahamas, No. 18 Linden upset No. 11 Manasquan at the Hoop Group NJ Tip-Off Showcase in Elizabeth, and several other surprises took place around the state as the 2022-23 boys basketball season got underway.
And all that happened in only four days as the season commenced last Thursday. This week is also abbreviated with the upcoming holiday weekend, but it’s still a full, exciting schedule.
